Art brings healing and hope in difficult times. The Art4Libraries project served to restore connection with one another…
Anna Carll and Claire Vassort taught free three-hour workshops in February and March of 2020. These classes led to art installations in all libraries of the Cherokee Regional Library System. The community collective installations (silk paintings and paper weaving murals) are currently installed in all fours locations of the library System: Chickamauga, LaFayette, Rossville and Trenton. Anna implemented the “Collage Your Way” program and Claire “The Silky Way” program. Their collaboration aimed to bring their own art practice, collage and silk painting, to the public in these free workshops.
